Profiles
The 25 young men who compete for PhatBack Athletics hail from different neighborhoods throughout the city and surrounding suburbs. Athletes who participate in the program also compete for Overbrook, Central, Dobbins, Girard College, Wissahickon, Engineering & Science, Lamberton, and Mercy Vocational. Although their backgrounds are diverse, a majority of these young men come from single parent homes. The team is built on direct recruitment by the head coach as well referrals from current members.
