In real life: This is an exceptionally foggy morning in Perth. Looking north from Applecross across the Swan river to the Perth CBD skyline.
Spycraft Campaign Setting: This is the heavy grade pollution that would always occur naturally in the area. Normally it is kept at bay by the skycleaner, but when the skyclean is powered down (for emergency or scheduled repairs) this polution goes unchecked. When this occurs Citizen's are unencouraged to stay indoors, or wear a gas mask if travel outside is absolutely neccessary.
In real life: This is the Perth belltower, located between the CBD and the Swan River.
Spycraft Campaign Setting: This is the Skycleaner, a technological marvel developed by a team of leading Gadgeteers formed under the guidance of the GEA. Using a large amount of electrical energy and a process that is understood only by a few. It changes the air pressure pattern around Perth, removing all polution in the range of 15-25 kilometers from the CBD. The only downside is that it must be taken off line once a week (usually Saturady) for 24 hours, to provide maintence and avoid irreperable damage to the atmosphere above Perth.
In real life: This is a series of lightning strikes taken using a very slow shutter speed, which creates the effect of all the strikes occuring simultaneously.
Spycraft Campaign Setting: This a series of simultaneous lightning strikes photographed during a Skycleaner static storm. If the Skycleaner is not turned off for a least one full day every nine days, powerful destructive storms such as this are artificially generated.
