| Utopia - Facility controlled by "Utopia Acquisitions" | ||||
| In real life: The images on this page all relate to the Burswood complex in Perth. It consists of a Hotel/Resort, Casino, Convention centrer and the "Burswood Dome" which is a large concert venue. | ||||
| Spycraft Campaign Setting: This facility is under the complete control of the trans-global corporation Utopia Acquisitions, it is casually referred to as Utopia by insiders and outsiders alike. | ||||
| About the Faction: Utopia Acquisitions is one of the trans-global corporations that was granted a lease hold in Western Australia by the GEA charter AUST0005. Few people are clear on exactly what Utopia Acquisitions is doing in Perth, it is obviously research, but speculation is rampant in exactly what the research involves. As a faction their strength lies in the status that is associated with being an employee of their company. Current employees are unquestionably loyal and many employees of other companies secretly wished they worked for this company (and hope one day they may get the chance to do so). They have established useful working relationships with other companies - some are official - others are unofficial as employees of other companies are enticed with the promise of future recruitment. As a military presence Utopia Acquisitions is one of the light weight factions. They have specialised in maintaining a relatively small (but well trained and equiped) special forces unit. They also utilising a small fleet of amphibious (and submergible) assault transports that operate with the Swan and Canning rivers. |

| In real life: This is the entry to the hotel lobby taken from the small park opposite. | ||||
| Spycraft Campaign Setting: This is the main entry to the facility. The entire above ground building is dedicated to dealing with people who are external to the company. It contains meeting rooms, offices for staff who deal with visitors on a regular basis and a large number of luxurious guest rooms for favored visitors. All the internal staff work and live in the below ground facility, they are the only people who know exactly was is down there and they aren't talking about it. | ||||

| In real life: This is an aerial photo of the Burswood complex (with north to the top of the map). It is just to the east of the Perth Central Business district (on the other side of the Swan river) and is surrounded by numerous small parks. The dome is the large octagonal building on the eastern side. The other complex is divided into the convention center on north side, the casino and entertainment facilities on the south side and the hotel and main lobby in the center. | ||||
| Spycraft Campaign Setting: The entire above ground complex is complemented by an extensive below ground complex. What is in the below ground complex is not generally known, but speculation indicates it links the above ground complexes and contains living areas for the employees of the organisation (none of who have any residence outside of the facility). | ||||

| In real life: This photo was taken in the Burswood Dome during the U2 "Popmart" Concert. The bright light is from the start of "Where the streets have no name". | ||||
| Spycraft Campaign Setting: The company that is based at this location will be well known for the exceptional empolyee loyalty. This photo was smuggled out from an employee "motivational" meeting held in the Utopia Dome. It suggests that mass brainwashing could be taking place, but the fact the photo has got out from a company with such high loyalty suggests it could also be a setup intended to smoke-screen the real cause. Other rumored causes include: 1) Mass administration of a secret newly developed drug 2) Employee black-mail and intimidation 3) THe use of psion powers or mystic rituals. 4) The genuine provision of a high level of motivation, reward and status 5) Careful exploitation of a newly developing mental disorder which has social or behavioural triggers. |
