This became a little pet project
of mine in late 2007/early 2008. The following are titles (not all complete)
Ive extracted and are in .FLAC format unless otherwise noted. This is really a
random selection of 5.1 extracted music from DVDs, DVD-Audio,
and DTS cds in lossless format.
DTS NOTE: I
have a number of DTS discs that are extracted here (noted with an *). They appear in .wav format
because I could not convert them to .FLAC because of how they are encoded.
Also, if you try to burn these DTS .wavs to a CD audio format, they will not
play. The short of it is you can only play these from your computer unless you
re-record them using a .wav editor or something with similar capabilities. But
theyre still cool to listen to.
Another little piece to this
is my recent discovery of quad mixes that have been lovingly transferred to DTS
format. True quad has no center channel, hence they are 4.1 except in a couple
rare cases where it sounds like FL and FR were mixed together to create the C
channel. These extracts are quite incredible in that they are the original
1970s quad mixes of some great records/tracks. Quad sourced discs are marked
with @.
