This is the Tides of the Moon philosophy section. Some of you may be wondering what in the world philosophy has to do with Seven Moons, well you're about to find out! In the world of Seven Moons, various theories exist on why the human race is currently living, the birth of the universe, and what will ultimately cause its demise. This portion of Tides of the Moon is dedicated to explaining those theories for some of you skeptics. I have tried to explain these theories as simple as possible but, they do get pretty deep, so please try and keep and open mind. |

| In Seven Moons, a widely spread and widely believed theory is about good and evil. The universe is thought to be comprised as a gigantic Yin-Yang symbol. The black side representing evil, and the white representing good. There is a white and black orb in their opposite sides, showing the idea that there is some good in all evil and vice-versa. Without one half of the symbol, the other cannot exist. There are many spirits embodying the universe as we know it. One of them has an instinct for self-preservation. |

This spirit's sole purpose is to give birth to good and evil beings. For if good can ever overtake evil, or evil triumph over good, the universe will cease to exist. Every good and evil being in the cosmos contributes an amount of energy to a metaphorical "bar". There are two bars, one for good, and the other for evil. When the bar on evil raises above good, the essence of the universe must create more good to counter-balance the evil. Thus, the universe is safe. |

What is morality? What are ethics? In the world of Seven Moons, ethics are what humans base their behavior upon, almost like a system of what's right and what's wrong. But does morality truly exist? In the hearts and minds of humans, it does. But to others, such as Tyler, have come to the realization that right and wrong are man-made ideas of describing what others "percieve" as being lawful and unlawful conduct. Right and wrong are really based upon opinion, nothing more... |
