INTERVIEW WITH PAMELYN FERDIN

Q. What has Pamelyn Ferdin been up to? Catch us all up.
A. I'm no longer in acting. After becoming a registered nurse and working in an
emergency room at a County hospital caring for indigent patients, I am now a
full time animal rights activist. I am a member of Animal Defense League-Los
Angeles.
Q. You sound very passionate about your participation, why did you leave acting
behind?
A. I felt that acting was not really making the world a more peaceful,
compassionate place, so I became a nurse. After twelve years of nursing I
realized that people do have a voice and they can ask the nurse for pain
killers, assistance in getting up, and will tell you off if they don't feel you
are giving them the best of care!! Animals can't speak out on their own behalf,
and there is just a small minority of people who are willing to speak up for
them. As Ingrid Newkirk once said, "When it comes to suffering, a pig, is a
dog, is a rat, is a boy."
Q. Is there a main message you want to convey about this issue?
A. Animals are the most innocent and the most tortured beings on earth right
now, and I felt that I had to speak up for those animals being abused, tortured,
killed and afraid or I couldn't live with myself. As Mahatma Gandhi once said
"The greatness of a Nation, and it's moral progress can be judged by the
way it's animals are treated."
Q. How can fans get in contact with you or get an autograph?
A. If you would like a picture or pictures autographed by me personally as well
as sent out to you by me personally, I would be honored to do that. A portion of
the money received for my autographed pictures goes to help rescue animals and
educate the public on what they can do to decrease animal suffering.
Q. Any message you would like everyone to come away with about Pamela Ferdin?
A. My mission in life is to try and help alleviate the abuses and misery
perpetrated upon animals that most folks don't know or think about. Remember
spay and neuter ALL your companion animals and always "adopt" a
wonderful, loving cat or dog from a shelter rather than buying one from a
breeder or pet stop. As I always like to say "YOUR ANIMALS ARE CUTERED,
WHEN THEY'RE NEUTERED!

film!
A. You have touched my heart and I truly appreciate your words more than you
could ever know. And finally, I am so flattered that I brought you some
happiness by my acting career.
