Below is a commentary he wrote in response to that evening that he would like to share with everyone via this website.
To All Players and Parents, past and present:
Wednesday night's celebration was an incredible experience.... A celebration of an amazing journey. One that I have been fortunate to share with my long time assistant coach, Pete Canuel, who has established an amazing record himself. Many thanks to all who helped make it happen. (You know who you are). I still can't believe so many former players and alumni parents made the effort to attend as well as local dignitaries, administrators, teachers, friends, and family.
Personally I have never experienced anything like it and probably never will again. On behalf of myself and my family, I want to reach out and hug everyone who was part of this event. Since i can't ... this will have to do.
I want to extend a special thank you to the current Lady Dragon parents, who have done so much to honor me and our program with their continued nurturing of our positive culture. As far as our current players are concerned, you never cease to amaze me. You each have a special place in my heart and are now a vital thread in the fabric of Lady Dragon Soccer History.
As uncomfortable as I am with the individual recognition, I am delighted with the efforts of the many parents, players, coaches, administrators, family members, etc. which resulted in the 300 wins. In my eyes this was a celebration of a program rather than an individual. This was a celebration of the community which is South Oldham Lady Dragons Soccer. This community began in 1990 and continues to thrive today.
In conclusion I would like to say "Congratulations to the South Oldham Lady Dragons Soccer Community for all YOU have done to make the 300 wins happen."
