| Theme Overview The phantom finds himself as the self appointed ruler of the Paris Opera House. Once upon a time, a lovely chorus dancer becomes the understudy for La Colatta, and the Phantom makes it his personal duty to see to it that she, Christine, becomes the best opera singer this Opera House has ever seen or heard. On opening night, while the Phantom basks in his glory of a job well done, as Christine performs in front of a sold out crowd, a special audience member is watching from his booth. Christine's childhood friend, Raul, realizes how much he loved her in their days of youth, and swears he won't let her get away again... Once Raul proposes to Christine, the Phantom is outraged and spares no lives in his quest to get back his pupal and his love.
