'First, Last & Always', the title
said it all. The Sisters had a major influence in the early days of
the Goth. This album was their first and was keenly awaited.
Then the bitter split left Eldritch alone, a scenario that he would
become accustom to. He quick amassed some troops to release 'Gift' under
the name of Sisterhood which, Wayne and Craig where using. This resulted
in the birth of The Mission.
'Floodland' was as eagerly awaited as the debut album, this time Eldritch
had teamed up with Patricia Morrison. Eldritch still powered the Goth
vocals.
Patricia left (now with The Damned) and Eldritch recruited amongst others
Tony James (ex-Sigue Sigue Sputnik) and released a new Sisters logo
and 'Vision Thing'. Neither impressed the Sisters fans. The band went
there separate ways.
Two compilations, 'Some Girls Wander By Mistake' and 'Slight Case Of
Over Bombing' featuring the early songs appeased fans keen for a return
to the tradition offerings.
'Go Figure' was released just to finish Eldritch's recording commitments.
Eldritch has never been able to return to the successful days before
Wayne, Craig and Gary left.
The Sisters still gig when they feel like it (with Bleach Blonde Hair).
