Charles Dance attended art school in England where he met his wife Joanna. He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company before he became a film star. Through out his career he has had a variety of roles from leading men parts to character actors to memorable villains.
Some of his well-known works include the TV miniseries �The Jewel and the Crown�, �Nicholas Nickleby� and the Masterpiece Theater 1997 remake of �Rebecca�. His film work includes �Plenty� with Meryl Streep, �The Golden Child� with Eddie Murphy and most recently �Gosford Park� and �Swimming Pool�
