Despising Beauty
Your sadness ignites my heart
Beating and pounding me on.
It overwhelms your soul.
A pain, I can do nothing to end.

Decaying skin and minds surround
And rip into your peaceful thoughts.
The chaos of mankinds existence
Casts you into despair.

Are we not machines?
Waking to attempt perfection.
Are we not selfish?
Waking to find only gains.

Oh, how you despise human life.
You, the one who loves all in the cycle.
You, the one who loves nature above.

Yet, beauty exists in our species
For, we are a part of the cycle
For, we are a part of nature
Why cant you see the beauty of our fall?

Beautiful, real, and hidden emotions
A look, a touch, a smile, a tear
Passions surround us in amazing heights
Love, lust, eagerness genuine happiness.

Yet, you see the fear, the angst
In the disguise of hate, distrust
Pettiness, bitterness, anger, and greed.
Its true emotions these masks feed.

Look not to their dark side
Do not ever assume
Question your labels
Recognize the beauty
See it shining through
See past the smoke and mirrors
See humanity anew.
