ENFORCEMENT = DEATH

This little phrase, stolen from the AIDS activists ten years or so ago, sums up Cosimano’s attitude towards law and its enforcement.  He quite literally thinks like a Columbian drug lord and many times when the news was on and a State’s Attorney would be announcing a prosecution he would snarl, “Why is that man alive?”

Think about this.  This is a man who is reputed to have blown up a nuclear reactor with psionics, has certainly started at least one war with mind control and dueled with the best the KGB had.  Is this a man who is going to lose any sleep over doing in a traffic cop?

When people encounter this aspect of his philosophy, they wonder how he manages to get away with it.  Well, it is really very simple.

No one wants to take the chance that he may be right!

And let’s be truthful.  It would be very hard for law enforcement to attack him.  His principal weapon, radionics, has been so successfully attacked by the Food and Drug Administration over the decades that any attempt to prosecute him for using it as a weapon would be dashed to pieces on a mountain of precedent.   And how could such a case even be brought.  The target would be dead of natural causes or accident and those things happen all the time.  There would be no physical evidence connecting him to the target except for the witness sample and he totally destroys those after any operation is finished.

But let us say that a prosecutor were to think he could bring a case, would he dare to?  After all, if Cosimano can kill with thought alone, would any prosecutor live long enough for the case to get to trial.  Would that prosecutor’s spouse and children live long enough?

And then consider that the jury and judge would be subjected to the sort of mind-control that would virtually ensure acquittal.

Consider this.  If he is a harmless crackpot, then any case brought against him is a waste of the taxpayers’ time and money.  If he is not.  If his psionics works, then any case brought against him is suicide for those bringing it.

And believe me, they know it!
