About ten minutes into this, I jumped up and yelled, "I remember this play!" It was really odd to watch it after having read the play, because all the characters were completely different from what I imagined - but somehow it still worked. It's a movie with a message, which really holds a lot more interest for me than a movie for pure entertainment. If you're looking for a good Tracy/Hepburn . . . this is definitely one to consider.
