After watching Tootsie with me, my dad said, "We have to go get that other soap opera movie..." So they did. And they brought it back from the video store and we all sat down and watched it and chuckled mildly all the way through it... and then we got to the very end and it had me nearly rolling on the floor. The final scene isn't all that amazingly funny - pretty average for a comedy of this type - or would be, if they didn't add a tiny little incongruous detail that sent me (and my FATHER) into fits of giggles. I've never heard my dad giggle before. Hmm. Scary. But yes. That last scene was definitely worth it. If it weren't for that, I don't know that I'd see this movie too often. A few funny parts, yes, but... the climactic scene is the one that's really the keeper.
