Hmm. I'd have to watch this again to have more of an opinion on it, if only because I had to watch the original Shrek more than once before I really saw the appeal of it. For me, most of the beauty is in the throwaway lines and the subtle things that you catch the second, third, fourth time through. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of that in this movie as well as in the first one. Overall, I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed hearing my musical theater reference, and Puss-in-Boots does indeed steal the show. Whoo.
Musical Theater Person Sightings: Julie Andrews as the queen (of course) and Antonio Banderas (also of course). Neither of this were difficult to identify, it's just fun that there's two of 'em.
