Not being a huge fan of Julia Roberts or romantic comedies in general, I had to say I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Of course, being a romantic comedy, the plot was pretty straightforward from the beginning. The guy and girl will meet, fall in love, but some obstacle will prevent them from actually getting together (usually a character trait or one of them will already be in a relationship), and then the obstacle will be removed and they will get together, all to a nice romantic soundtrack. But... ignoring all that basic unoriginality because that's what romantic comedies are supposed to be... it DID have threads of original thinking (the fact that she DID run away at the end), which moved it up a notch.
