Hmm. I'm unsure whether to rate this higher or lower than I rated the remake. I think I'm going to rate it half a star higher because I think it made an overall better movie. This was much more a drama, as opposed to the new one, which was an action flick. There were several moments in this that felt very odd to me, however. I just sat there thinking, "Now, come on, would anyone really react like that?" If I were having recurring nightmares, I would not assume they were based in reality. I would assume I was just psychologically goofed up. As the movie progressed, though, there were fewer moments like that. And I still think the premise is mighty creepy. Not scary, but creepy. Definitely an interesting flick, although I don't know if I'd recommend it to anyone.
