This movie was an unusual Disney movie. The animation certainly took a step back from the stunning computer animation we had seen in Monsters, Inc. or A Bug's Life, back into watercolor-based drawings. I did like the style, but the movie itself wasn't nearly as good as it could have been. For one thing, they never played with the evil-alien-meets-its-match-in-rotten-kid section of the story. It was so obviously set up, and then the plot line was just dropped. What happened to that? The ending was not bad, although rather cliched.
