This really was quite a well-done movie. A little over-the-top at times, but all of the key actors do a marvelous job in their roles. I especially liked Fredric March, who plays the "enemy" with sympathy, although he cares more about winning than he does about the people around him, much as he pretends. Nicely done. One comment on the creation/evolution deal, though: I have to say, I'm fascinated by how much the tables have turned. Today, it would be the teacher who taught creationism who would be arrested or, at the very least, fired. Many people would argue we've made progress - after all, evolution is the "right" answer (I believe in creationism) - but these people back then in this town were JUST as convinced their answer was right, and that certainly didn't give them the right to block others' opinions. It's the same exact situation. The players have just switched sides.
