"IMMIGRANTS NOT AMERICANS MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about if offend some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11th, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the politically correct crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others. I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of decedents of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently have come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom. We speak English, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefor, if your wish to become a part of our society learn the language! "In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some Christian, right wing, political slogan... We adopted this motto because of Christian men and women, on Christian principals, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is a part of our culture. If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam, then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you cam from. This is our land OUR lifestyle. Our first Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and will allow your every opportunity to do so. But once you are complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you to take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE."

Pricess, +Growing
up as a kid you were lower/middle class, probably living in the anaheim/fullerton
area. *Those were all guesses, 60% probably aren't true. but i know that some of my theories carry weight. Do not test me Melissa, and don't say anything stupid. The internet posting is MY game...don't challenge. Next
essay you write should be more rounded and bias, rather than far-left
extremist. You'll find that you'll receive more respect, and will probably
be looked at a little better than how u look right now...an ignorant anti-war
liberal. Is there anything more annoying? haha...maybe Al Gore... he said
"i created the internet." sounds like something Melissa would
say... like "While people are getting vanilla lattes, innocent people
are being slaughtered." I ask you Turkish Pricess, how many times
have u ate psychedelic mushrooms? Heres another good quote from our Liberal
Of the Week. "I'll be happy when there is no more innocent killing."
Well instead of just saying something like that...Why don't you go ask
your friends to stop running shit into trade centers killing 2,819 of
your "innocent civilians" of all ethnic backgrounds, no one
gender/race was singled out in this attack. However this attack wasn't
preformed by our "imperialistic" and terrifying civilian killing
government. This attack was preformed by a small group of individuals
mad at the USA because of 2 reasons. Taken from www.newyorkmetro.com Just incase everyone forgot... Total number killed in the WTC attack :: 2,819 Number of firefighters and paramedics killed :: 343 # of NYPD :: 23 # of Port Authority officers :: 37 # of WTC companies that lost people :: 60 # of civilians lost in Tower 1 :: 1,402 # of civilians lost in Tower 2 :: 614 # of civilians lost at Cantor Fitzgerald [neighboring the WTCs] :: 658 # of nations whose citizens were killed in attack :: 115 *I guess other nations too were effected..shit who would have known. Ratio of men to women who died :: 3:1 Bodies found intact :: 289 Body parts found :: 19,858 # of families that got no remains of their loved ones :: 1,717 # of people who lost their spouse or partner in the attacks :: 1,609 # of children that lost a parent :: 3,051 % of Americans who knew someone hurt or killed in 9/11 :: 20% *think about that before you attack my beliefs. Days fires continued to burn after the attack :: 99 Jobs lost in New York owing to the attacks :: 146,100 Days the New York Stock Exchange had to close due to attacks :: 6 Point drop in the Dow Jones Industrial average when the NYSE reopened: 684.82 *but the low economy is Bush's fault right?? Days after 9/11 that the U.S. began bombing Afghanistan :: 26 Total number of hate crimes reported to the Council on American-Islamic Relations nationwide since 9/11 :: 1,714 *It's a shame this happened...but who caused it? Religion. Estimated cost of cleanup :: $600 million Economic loss to NY in the month following the attacks :: 105 billion Estimated amount donated to 9/11 charities :: 1.4 billion. % of total charity money raised going to FDNY and NYPD families :: 25% * ouch! % increase of law school applications after 9/11 :: 17.9% % increase of Peace Corps applications after 9/11:: 40% % increase of CIA applications after 9/11 :: 50% *government jobs are getting trendy..lol. # of songs that didn't pass for "appropriate" after the 9/11 disaster :: 150 # of Americans
that changed their 2001 holiday-travel plans from plain to train or car
:: 1.4 million *i just ride my bike to the beach. In conclusion all i have to say is that i think in your argument you forgot to mention a very important issue. And i don't think u brought it up once... WHY WE WENT TO WAR IN THE FIRST PLACE. Now take a hard look at these numbers, memorize them. Based on these numbers alone is enough to gain my support and go into a shitty ass country and help them to try and restore any form of government structure. We are not in Iraq to kill people. We are there to help the innocent people trapped in middle of extreme fundamentalists and us. If innocent people in Iraq must die, then they must die. NOTE* All the innocent people we've killed in the past 3 decades doesn't come anywhere near the numbers they racked up in 20 minutes. Face it, wars will occur, people will die. Do us all a favor and quit while your ahead. World peace will never happen as long as they is socialists like yourself running around hating a government. try something new and embrace the people sacraficing they're lives for you, while u sit at home enjoying your freedom of speech.
