| Passing a gateway year (grades 3, 5, and 8) | |
Local: In order to be promoted each student must pass at least three of the following courses: Language Arts, Math, Science or Social Studies, two of which must be Language Arts and Math. State: Score at Level 3 or 4 on state end-of-grade tests in reading and math. |

| Dress Code | |
| * | Clothing must not be disruptive to the teaching-learning process, and cannot be provocative, revealing, vulgar, or obscene. |
| * | Hats, sweatbands, bandannas, and sunglasses will not be worn inside the buildings. |
| * | Shorts may be no higher than mid-thigh. |
| * | Skirts and dresses must be no higher than 3 inches above the top of the knee. |
| * | Shirts and blouses may not be tank tops or spaghetti straps. |
| * | Clothing will not be allowed which promotes alcoholic beverages, tobacco, the use of a controlled substance, depicts violence, is of a sexual nature, or is of a disruptive nature. |
| * | Shirts and blouses must cover the waist and midriff. |
| * | No sagging pants are allowed. |
| * | Undergarments are not to be visible. |
| * | Clothing articles including, but not limited to, gloves, bandannas, cut off pants with knee high socks, unstrapped bib overalls, multi-colored shoe strings, wrist bands, hats, hair nets, excessively long belts, belt buckles stamped with a letter, or jewelry commonly recognized as being related to a group or gang which provoke others to act violently shall not be worn on the campus or at any school activity. |
