In this tiny and tidy village, people from different religions are living as real brothers and sisters. That unity will show the true national colors of humanity. Our village is a wonderful example for the unity in diversity.

Perungulam Muslim Jamath was build up by the sacrifice of the families from the time of Mahan Sarahappa (Oli) brothers, Mothinar generations especially A.S. Pakkeer Raavuthar, P.S. Pakkeer Raavuthar, N.A. Pakkeer, A.K. Pakkeer Raavuthar, N.A. Ahamad Raavuthar.

The golden times of Perungulam Muslim Jamath was during the period of M.E. Ahamad Raavuthar and M.E.A. Mohamed Ali. Then Haji M.E.A. Mohamed Ali resigned from the post and makes it opened to all the citizens of Perungulam to be the head of the Perungulam. From that the Perungulam Muslim Jamath Administration Society has been developed..

Then the Perungulam Muslim Jamath Administration Society has been well run by the leaders such as N.A.A. Abdul Kuthus, S. Mohamed Ibrahim, Haji. S.K.S. Mahmood, Mohamed Sariff and M.E.A.M.Abdul Naafiq.

| To fulfill all the people requirements, there are very good projects has been done by the Perungulam Muslim Jamath Administration Society. They are as such following as Red Cross Society Hospital, Indian Overseas Bank Building, Department of Telecommunication Building, Middle School Building, S.K.Seeni Mohamed Nursery School and Arabic College. |
| Abuthalif(Governor), Seenithevar and Muniswaran Pillai put an effort to make an agreement between Perungulam Muslim Jamath Administration Society and Hindu Paripalana Society for the post of Panchayat Chairman to take a turn from each society for every election. The agreement was signed in the presence of that time Zonal Head Anwar Raja. From this incident, we would able to know how our elderly people wisely think that there shouldn’t be any conflict from each society for any kind of instance. |
| Perungulam Muslim Jamath Administration society couldn’t be run successfully without the support of the members of the society, especially deputy leaders and secretaries. From Haji K.S. Mohamed Gani, Abdul Samad, Abuthalif, Umarkhan, Mohamed Ali, Jamunrali, Katti Mohamed, Haji. Jalil and Najibullah and all the current delegates have doing their duties firmly and make Perungulam as a developed village. |
| Every one will have no argument that the youngsters are the backbone to developing a village or nation. Perungulam also has powerful youth club as I.N.M.S (Ithikaathul Naujavan Muslim Sankam). |
