or submissions. While space is limited, there will be plenty to keep our members posted on what's coming up and to report on recent
happenings. We welcome your participation. Please visit the website often and help it develop.
Support Our Troops
Member Dale Canofari, serving with the 911th Airwing, sent news of wounded troops arriving at Landstul Army Hospital, Germany with nothing but the torn uniforms. These troops are in need of sweat suits or the like to provide some comfort during their recovery. The Pittsburgh Police Emerald Society voted to donate $500 to the hospital via the base chaplain.
Please continue to support our troops anyway you can.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Last year's St. Patrick's Day celebration was a great success. This year's parade and celebration will be Saturday, March 12th. All members are encouraged to march with the Emerald Society. Please meet at Center Ave. near the Arena by 9:15 AM. Our group will consist of FOP Honor Guard, the Pipe and Drum Band, the children's hay wagon, our Man of the Year Sgt. Edward Hinchey followed by the rest of the group. Following the parade, is the annual celebration held at Gaetano's on Banksville. Please join us.

The Pittsburgh Police Emerald Society's President, Terry O'Leary, heads up a strong organization.
Wares
Recently, Pat Morgan and Jeff Garris, volunteered to manage the clothing sales. They are looking to the membership for suggestions
on what clothing items are desirable. In the near future, this website will provide accessibility for the viewing and purchasing
of Emerald Society gear. We still have golf shirts and mock turtlenecks. We are expecting baseball caps and Emerald Society pins in early May. A new T-shirt is also being planned.
Golf Outing
Last year's golf outing was a great success. Nobody was able to win the car...so get ready for this year's big event scheduled for August 10. Mark your calendars now and check this website for details on this year's event that will be posted soon.

Membership Meeting
Thank you for attending February's meeting. The focus obviously was St. Patrick's Day. We are excited about this year's celebration and hope to see all of you there Saturday, March 12. The next meeting announcemnt will be out soon. We encourage all members to stay active throughout the year. Check back soon for announcements and upcoming meetings / events.
