There's only one thing that makes Sundays during the NFL season so great. Your team winning. For me, that is the Chargers. Yes, you all probably feel sorry for me but don't, I'm used to it. The Padres and Bolts, we've got the great losing tradition. '98 for the Pads and '94 for the Bolts were both great years, but besides that, we are pretty bad and I'm OK with that. Just clearing that away and to eat up more of your precious time.
Back to the opening week of the NFL. Yes, that may be the only game we win this year but it's just really great to just know that we won't go without a win this year. It's great feeling, you wouldn't know this feeling if your team lets you down time and time again. You have to be an optimist, I think. "Yeah, we were pretty horrible last game but LT did great, I think he'll easily make the Pro Bowl", is something I would say like during last year. By the way, I'm still SOOO mad that Tomlinson did not make the Pro Bowl. He had one of the best years a RB can have! 100 receptions, and then finding out that LT didn't make the Pro Bowl? That kills you inside, just like Donnie Edwards didn't make it last year! He had the most solo tackles in the whole NFL (yes, more than Ray Lewis!) Rejected, again! Sorry for going off-topic, but man, those guys like totally deserved to go to Hawaii.
Antonio Gates. You all need to learn to know that name. Drew Brees or whoever QB's will. I'm just trying to help out those fantasy teams with absolutely no TE's and just trying to let people who just like to watch great players about this guy. He's special, especially for being a basketball player in college, no football.
Brees, good game? Not three words you hear too often, all this talk about Rivers and Brees breaking out. This should be great to watch over the season. Brees will be on his toes with Rivers breathing down his back.
Tomlinson, no other words are needed to be used here, except GREAT.
You all don't need to know anything more about last Sunday, because this is the only thing you need to know about.
