Fantasy Draft-Greatest Day Or worst Day of Your Life
By The Sports Kid

Draft day can be the worst day of your pathetic life in fantasy sports or the greatest.  It makes you or breaks you.  But you don't know it until the end of the year when you're either stuck in dead last, with few or no wins, or at the top, undefeated.  Don't get me wrong, fantasy sports are great.  It's just that I swear Yahoo! Fantasy Football hates me.  I've ended up in the bottom half of the standings for the past two years except in one lucky league where I took 2nd just because of my RBs, LaDainian Tomlinson and Ahman Green, which I drafted myself from the beginning.  I don't have any luck in fantasy football, but I do, do well in baseball (top 2 in my leagues) and basketball (top 2 in my leagues).

This year though, it seems like I have a decent team in one of my leagues, but I better not jinx myself.  I took Ahman Green with my 4th overall pick.  LT went 2nd, even though I strongly believe he is a #1 overall pick, and that's not just because he's a Charger.  The guy can play.  He's a running back that receives or a wide receiver the runs the ball.  Last year he was the first player ever, in history to catch 100 passes and rush for over 1,000 yards in the same year.  The guy's getting a big contract through '11 and totally deserves it.

Back to the draft...Faulk drafted in 1st round?  The guy will not play a full season for sure; he's run out of gas, he has had a complete season in years.  Plus he's got that first round rookie RB breathing down his neck.  I think I was lucky to turn up with Manning in the second round.  Culpepper is rated above him but I would easily take Manning any day.  I don't know why but I think the big loudmouth WR, Chad Johnson will have big loud numbers so I took him in the 3rd.

I felt my other picks were pretty good.  But I ran out of time in the 6th round and it drafted Hearst for me!  That has got to be one of the worst picks ever.  The guy isn't even starting!  I wasn't paying attention in the 14th round and it drafted Joe Jurevicious, not a great pick, didn't really want him...
