Pain and Sufferin The day starts, The dog barks. The mind cringes, The pain impinges. Beauty sleeps, Floorboards creak. Back aches, Heart Breaks. Shower warms, Chilly bones. Mental Note: Pain is rote. See you stare, Me bent-over. Wish I were, A kid in clover. Older now, Healing how? Life's wasted, Agony tasted. Jesus Christ, Upon the cross, Three days and, His pain was lost. Eternity spent, Just one moment, Mind can't take, The pain's last second. Even saints, Upon a cross. Prayed to God, Then pain was lost! Why this pain, I've undertaken, Why have I, God, Been forsaken? Hurry now, Lord or I am lost, I cannot stand, Long on my cross. To ease the pain, Help others daily, I smile to you, Inside I'm wailing. Help me now, Or I shall end, This life you give, Back to you I send! The game is for, The strong at heart, The heart is for, The work that's hard. The death that comes, To mind still living, Lets people know, What I've been giving. Energy inside, My tired soul, Needs another, Youthful bowl. The game it seems, Just starts again, May God bless me, To live again.
