Ode to the Winter Solstice (December 21, 2000) Darkness all around me Everywhere deceit. All is given up To the rhythm of the Street. Hopeless hearts still beating. Truth cannot be found. Open, love will cure me. Look into the mirror of my soul, Once was love now shallow. Vices overwhelm my senses Everything is Fallow. , Once inside the mirror. Now hope still has some clout. Consuming passion for truth, Even now the warrior cries out. Lust has tarnished armor, Underscoring focus needed. Sex without compassion Tears at words not often heeded. ' So little is reward. Slashing through the armor. All putrefying greed. Tattered soul abandoned Is lust all that you need? Satisfaction's never met, Fornication's all you get. Almost never close at all. Consuming need your soul to call. Tell the warrior all's not lost. Is it time to quit this life? Or, give my training heed. No one can own my soul, It's mine, I want my life. Sanctify my spirit. Come back to me my innocence, Overtake this lusty want. Marry soul with spirit hence, Partake communion with my soul. Leaving past dishonored season. Everything doth have a reason. The armor scarred and battle weary, Evermore will guard you well. ! Looking into the eyes of youth, Omnipresent Hope. Verily I say to you: Even Paul once was Saul. Will this love be enough? Interesting thought! Love has great foundation now. Light is afraid of naught! Come back to your sanctum pure. Once inside your soul secure. Nowhere are you closer to your Quest for truth than here.
