  • Dr. Barrie Flather was the father of Gregory Paul Flather (Woods). Barrie passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 5, 2003 at the age of 70. Barrie will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 19 years, Lilly, his children, Paul, Tammy(Neil), Graham (Leah), Michael (Lisa), Jeffery, Catherine, Kevin, three grandsons, Bryce, Riley and Ethan, Heather Edick (Woods) and Bethany Woods, his Aunt Hazel McQuat and many other family and friends. A special thanks to the palliative care nurses at Surrey Memorial Hospital and to Dr. Michael Riesling for all his care and support. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2003, 1:00 p.m. at Cloverdale United Church, 17575 - 58A Ave. Surrey, interment to follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
