Patriotic Moments
Drew's Record Setting day
New England 26       Minnesota 20 ot
(AP) Drew Bledsoe threw and threw and threw some more.  Finally, he threw his arms up in triumph.  He had plenty to celebrate after his 45th completion and 70th pass -- both National Football League records -- settled into fullback Kevin Turner's arms in the end zone 4:10 into overtime today. The 14-yard pass gave the struggling New England Patriots a 26-20 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, and it capped a stunning comeback from a 20-0 deficit and a first half in which the Patriots were dominated.

Signifigance:  The young Patriots were reeling.  After 3 straight wins allowed the Patriots to overcome a frustrating 0-2 start in which they scored 70 points, the Patriots proceeded to lose 4 straight games to fall to 3-6.  Trailing 20-3 at halftime, the normally explosive Bill Parcells simply asked his team how long they were going to allow other teams to push then around.  The team responded by rallying in the second half of this game to win,  then ripped off 6 more wins to push their streak to seven and clinch a playoff berth for the first time in eight years.
