The combined rushing assault of Diorio, Kozak, and Huber amounted to be too much for Alexander and his squad. Though the losing team quickly jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, key second half changes helped Meyers lead his team to a keen victory. Bright spots of the day for the losing team included Phil Schilling who recorded two touchdown receptions and one interception returned for a touchdown, Steve Stargel catching three, and Tobey catching a pair.

Things looked rather dismal for Meyers in the early going as his gargantuan team fell behind, but his team came back putting the score at 5-4. Meyers' big-boned team looked rather flat against the speed and quickness of the opposition. Enter three humble, mildly overweight, bruising running backs. Second half adjustments for Meyers consisted of him feeding the ball to Kozak, Huber, or Diorio, and letting them do the rest. These three, specifically Diorio, won the game by themselves.

Alexander lead a quick strike in the early-going to Elrod as his defense stepped up and forced a turnover. Another score to Stargel put the game at 2-0. On their ensuing drive, Alexander connected with Oliver for a touchdown, seemingly clinching the game early on. Meyers then connected with Diorio and Madara, closing the gap to 3-2. At half time, Meyers and company focused primarily on the running game, slowly increasing their lead to 12-9. Alexander hit Stargel and Tobey for a pair of touchdowns, and Schilling forced a key interception, taking it to the house. With the game squared at 12 all and Meyers driving, Jeff Kozak burned Palit for a touchdown reception, in possibly one of the worst finishes in sports history, ever.

Defensively, Meyer's team recorded six interceptions, one of which being returned for a touchdown. Alexander struggled manning the helm, throwing four picks by his lonesome.

"It's just one of those games", Oliver said, who caught seven passes on the day. "Today just wasn't our day, nothing we could do about it, the ball simply didn't roll our way."

Alexander and Co look to rebound as soon as next week.
10/10/04
PF Football has seen a substantial increase in popularity in just it's second year. Already, contracts have been requested, major networks have sought for television time, and sluts have asked to make appearances scandally clad. Week two's action will be televised and posted on the site compliments of Alex Mirabella. Though injuries have left their scars, new players eagerly seek action this week as another close game begs to make another showing.

10/9/04-Lamar Reed is out with a broken collar bone for the rest of the season. Also out is Mike Q. with a leg contusion. Both players will be missed dearly.

10/8/04- Vince was cleared to play this week but says that he probally wont. He might take up coaching team underdogs for this weeks matchup.

10/3/04- The underdogs win the first game 11-10
