Howdy

Miles City, Montana
is probibly best known for bucking horses.
Once a year in May,
the towns population of around 9,000
nearly doubles during the world-famous
Miles City Bucking Horse Sale.
For three straight days,
people come from near and far to see cowboys
test their luck on bucking horses
that are sold at auction immediately afterward.
Street dances, live music
and a host of other activities
makes this a premier western event for all ages,
earning Miles City the nickname of
"The Cowboy Capital Of The World."

The rest of the year,
Miles City is a bit quieter,
but this county seat is still a hub of activity
for all of southeastern Montana.
With two brand new medical facilities
and a steady expanding business district,
Miles City serves many outlying communities
as well as farm and ranch families,
who are among the biggest contributers
to the local economy.

Despite its steady growth,
Miles City prides itself on maintaining
a small-town, friendly atmosphere.
The pace is a bit more relaxed here
than in western Montana,
which has rapid growth
and a steady influx of people.

They have their mountains,
but we have our breathtaking buttes,
rolling hills and awe-inspiring bad-lands.
One of the best features of Miles City
is its people, who have shown you firsthand
what Western hospitality is all about!

So spend some time in cowboy country with us.
