  • Manufacturer:Scratch built on the fly without a plan, but did make up a rough sketch afterwards.

Assembly:

One inch thick pink foam fuse, with brown paper bag covering put on with white glue. 1/8" thick foamboard wing, with strapping tape and 1/8" dowel leading edge. The ailerons are hinged with strapping tape as well. The motor and servos are simply glued in place. Cavities in the foam are used to house the battery pack, Rx and ESC.

Flying:

Easily hand launches on a full charge. Climb rate is minimal after the first couple of minutes. Wing flex is generous.

Update:

I added some WW2 British markings to complete the look. I also stiffened up the wing with clear packing tape covering on both sides, and the addition of a short fiberglass rod under the wing. It helped to reduce the flexing. Still looking for a bit more power, and 8 cells seem to help, but I don't know if the motor will last.
