Assembly:
My biggest plane in my fleet. The name comes from the fact that the construction materials can be considered a HOME Renovation job: gutter down pipe and 4mm coroplast. I couldn't find 2mm coroplast locally, so the wing is a Jedelsky type, as only one layer is used, with basswood ribs to give it the required camber. I then covered the underside with packing tape to give it a flat bottom. Tail feathers are also made of coroplast.
I had a landing gear with 3" wheels since this picture was taken, which helps to protect the prop and motor on landings, but the grass at the field was still too long to be of any use. I took it off and converted the prop adapter into a rubber mounted prop saver by cutting off most of the threaded part, and drilling a hole behind the prop to put in a wire clip for the rubber band.
Flying:
Easily hand launches, despites its heavy weight. Flies with authority. Handles wind and gusts relatively well, due to it heavy weight. I never got a chance to try ROG yet.
