Last night i had a dream that i was at a Powderfinger concert and someone was telling me how jc was singing the lyrics to 'whatever makes you happy' (even though he doesnt sing them in reality) and he sang the wrong lyrics to it and became extremely upset. then i saw jc and he was crying and getting heaps mad . so whats that about ??

The fact that you dreamt you met them at one of their concerts, probably hits that you might be seeing them soon (possibly on the NSF tour) and are wishing to meet them.

The part about JC, I would say that you are bit of a fan of good old John and his rock moves.. Him singing is maybe something you unconsciously fantasize over (or perhaps you're aware of it??) The fact that he got the lyrics wrong- and started having a sook over the whole situation, points to the probability that JC's singing talents finished with the recording of O#3.. meaning (sorry) we wont be seeing JC do any vocals on this tour.. His head will be firmly planted at ground level.

Ok, well it was in this sorta tropical island area, and I was sitting on this beach surrounded by heaps of tall trees.. Then I look up at one of the trees and Dz, Bern and Cogs all climb out of one, wearing these weird trippy green robes and sandals, looking like something out of the Bible. (Just wait, it gets a lot stranger..) But then 8 other guys dressed in black come out from a building behind me on the beach and it turns out that Dz, Bern and Cogs are actually being held hostage by these guys, half of them Jamaican and half of them Middle Eastern.

Now this part is hard to explain, so bear with me.. See even though the 3 of them all looked like regular people, they were actually cows. Don't ask me why, they didn't look like cows and they could talk and everything, but they were cows. Don't question it, just accept it. So then I was talking to them, but all the while feeling really guilty because I eat meat everyday yet I'm talking to 3 cows who are probably going to get slaughtered soon and turned into Big Mac's..

So then a few hours had passed and Dz finally decided that he wanted to get away from the people taking them hostage so he said to Bern, Cogs and me that if he doesn't make it he'd rather be a Whopper than a Big Mac, and runs off. I see the 8 hostage guys run after him and the dream ends.

Without knowing who you really are it will be harder for me to pick at this dream, but after reading you're strange dream, edging on nightmare, I can understand you wanting to keep yourself a secret.

First of we need to address the tropical island with the tall trees, with the guys sitting up in the tops of them- then climbing down. This hints towards the fact that you are quite aware, and probably annoyed at the fact that there has been a slight case of 'tall poppy syndrome' happening to Powderfinger after the ARIAs. The strange clothes once again points fingers to the ARIAs as we all know that Bernard was wearing some freak-arse mutha hat, and some strange stretchy pants, that (in my eyes) were pretty trippy. Also you say they were wearing sandals- Bern was at the 99 ARIA awards.. and that was the first real introduction to the tall poppy thing.

There was 8 other people- well Powderfinger were nominated for 8 awards (though they only won 6.. thats not the point..) The reason half of them were from different nationalities to the other half, is because Powderfinger only went up on stage 4 times on the actual ARIA award night, while the other 4 nominations they stayed in their seat for that night. (as they were either beaten by Scanduals or they'd previously accepted their awards at the Pre-Arias)

The cow part- as strange as it seems- actually fits in with this theory quite fine. The fact they were 'cows' and were going to be made into 'Big Macs' is actually another metaphor.. See McDonalds is a huge body who has a lot of influence on today's society.. As is the record industry. Powderfinger are just 5 heads amongst it all, and when it comes to the industry side of things, they dont have all that much power of whats going on. Just like those cows.. They're what make McDonalds (well the burgers..) and Powderfinger are one of the bands who make up the record industry. But each can be cut down with a click of a finger.

The reason Darren runs off in the end, is a symbol for showing that Powderfinger dont get sucked in by all the big wig record industry people.. they still keep their heads planted firmly on their heads.. and even though there is a bit of the tall poppy syndrome leaking into the Powderfinger camp, its not too bad- as the guys now how to act to dodge it.

And Darren saying he'd prefer be a Whopper than a Big Mac, well: The Burgers Are BETTER at Hungry Jacks. Powderfinger dont want to be some half arsed lame band.

I just had one last nite where it was the first day back at school and we had to clean it up and pf were helping and then i had to run over to my friend and tell her this urgent message and i stacked it up these stairs and i turned around and bernie was peeing himself laughing at me! so i'm just wondering if i'm the only one who has dreams like this and if anyone knows what this is supposed to mean? cool thanks bye

When you go to school next, be careful around all stairs, and if the boy you have a major crush on is standing near you- don't even bother attempting any. Because your dreams telling you that you're gonna fall on your arse in front of your dream guy.

I once had a dream I found a few kool pf CDs in cash converters, like just the usual singles and shit- but in cardboard covers (like that of DAF)- it was very exciting. Next day whata u know.. I go into Cash Converters and Ian's little FOC album's sitting there for a cheep price waiting for me to purchase.

I've had many other dreams- strange ones like being at a pf concert, and it turning into a pf circus.. the guys (along with hundreds of other cirus people) were playing, and dancing around the crowd. What's the sign in that story you ask? Easy- Powderfinger are clowns.
