Just a Few of My Favorite Stops on the Web

Racing

This site has everything about the latest happenings in NASCAR. At least that's the rumor I heard...

Great stats, limited # of ads, and lots of great commentary. Be sure to read anything by Matt McLaughlin - especially Random Thoughts following a weekend race.

Daffi's AnPetti World - Gathering place for a bunch of us Richard Petty and John Andretti fans

Looking to build a model car of your favorite driver - past or present - and need some help? GA Petty Fan is your man!

Official Home of Petty Enterprises

Official website for the Busch Grand National team of Casey Atwood

My Home Track! Many Saturday nights during my childhood and teen years were spent here watching such future stars as Darrell Waltrip, Sterling Marlin, Mike Alexander, Jimmy Means, etc.

Sandy's Place - Tired of all the "Little E" hype? Are you more interested in Matt Kenseth? Well, so is Sandy. Check out her site for all the latest on the 2000 Rookie of the Year (at least that's MY pick.)

RyanDigs44 - A nice Kyle Petty site.

Spiritual

- Yes, there is DEFINTELY something in life greater than racing.

Racing with Jesus Ministries

Good Shepherd United Methodist Church - I'm extremely proud of this website for my local church.

The Upper Room - A daily devotional published right here in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Bible Gateway - A complete on-line Bible with different versions and search features.

Other Sports

Nashville Predators - GET BIT! by Nashville's newest sensation

Tennessee Titans - How 'bout dat Music City Miracle! Tough loss in the Super Bowl, but they're still AFC Champs!

Comedy

The Bob & Tom Show - The funniest show to come out of Indianapolis since the IRL took over the Indy 500.

Rodney Carrington - Proceed with caution. Not for the weak of heart or stomach.

Music

When their debut album, Outskirts, was released a few years ago, Rolling Stone said "The best new American band may well be Canadian." In my opinion, RS knew what they were talking about. Sure, BR doesn't get radio in the US, but go out & buy their CDs and hear first hand what FM is missing!

Did you ever want to catch that elusive "Five Pound Bass" or go on a "Gringo Honeymoon"? Texas has produced some great songwriters and musicians over the years, but none of them are quite like Robert Earl Keen. You'll laugh outloud at songs such as the classic "Merry Christmas from the Family" (from No. 2 Live Dinner) and "That Buckin' Song" (from Picnic). But then REK will knock you over with the insightful lyrics of "Mariano" and "Shades of Grey" (Picnic). By all means, catch him live if you can. Its quite a treat.

Led by frontman Walter Salas-Humara, The Silos have played their stripped-down rock for several years. They aren't musically fancy, and I've heard a better voice than WSH. But WSH really writes some intriguing songs about relationships. Personal album favorites are Cuba, Hasta La Victoria.

Also worth checking out is The Setters - a band compriised of WSH, Michael Hall (formerly of The Wild Seeds) and the late Alejandro Escovedo. Interesting little tidbit - Instead of drums, WSH plays on drum cases, orange juice boxes, and metal shelving!
