What you need?
To cover your wheel you need: -Some card which can ban around the wheel -Self adhesive plastic (normally used for covering books -Strong Sticky Tape -Scissors -Colouring Pencils
When you have all you need above: 1. Cut out a strip of card long enough to go around the wheel with a small overlap, then cut the width so that it just fits inside the bars of the wheel neatly. Now you can draw pictures on the card to make it look nicer for you. 2. Then carefully put the adhesive plastic onto both sides of the card to make it more waterproof. Now put this on the outside of the wheel keeping it as tight and close to the bars as possible and stick it together with sticky take. Run sticky tape down the edge of the wheel to fix it on even stronger *After you have finished you may place it in the cage as normal and just watch how your hamster will be much happier using the wheel. Your hamster will run for longer and faster because he feel much safer in a covered wheel.
How To Cover Your Wheel?
A simple cardboard wheel covering makes a wire or spoked wheel safe for your hamster to use. Although these traditional hamster wheels appear safe there is one crucial point which must be taken into consideration: your hamster's feet can get caught between the spokes while its running, twisting or breaking its leg.
