Carob Squares
Ingredients: 4-1/2 cups whole wheat flour 1 egg 1/4 cup carob powder (available at health food store) 1-1/4 cup water In a large bowl mix ingredients. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface. Roll dough quarter-inch thick. Cut into 4-inch by 4-inch squares. Place on a cooking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted and then removed from the center of a square comes out clean. Frosting: 1 - 8 oz. Package of low fat cream cheese, softened 1 tablespoon real vanilla extract 2 tablespoons real honey Mix all ingredients. Apply to cooled bars. |
