I live in the Vancouver area in BC, Canada. I work at a local tv station, Global BC Television, in the Human Resources department. It's a great job, I get to meet amazing people and the duties are varied so it keeps me motivated. Global, or CHAN as its call name, specializes in local news.
I love travelling. Recently I was in Europe for 3 weeks in May 2006. I visited Hamburg, where I have relatives, then Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Vienna, Salzburg, then Graz (more relatives). At times it felt like a re-enactment of the reality show, The Great Amazing Race, running to catch trains and with so little time to explore the cities we were visiting. If you are interested in viewing some of my photos click on the links at the bottom of the page. I travelled with my mother, brother and his girlfriend through most of the trip. My favourite city was Vienna, it's such a beautiful city and so much to see and do there. It was my second visit there and 3 nights are not enough to appreciate everything it has to offer.

Interests I also like golfing, hiking, photography, painting, and visiting pubs and restaurants with friends.

Hoping to find Australian traveler I met in Vienna May 2006:

On my second day there, I met a really nice Australian from Perth on a 3 hour Cityrama city tour bus on May 24, 2006. He was on leave from the Navy and worked on a frigate 6 months at a time, and was staying at the Post Hotel near Schwedenplatz. We saw the Schonbrunn palace (schloss schonbrunn) inside and out. Afterwards, we had lunch at Venezia an Italian restaurant near the Stephensdom. Then we walked through Stadtpark, and along the streets of Vienna taking photos. When we parted, I was still embarrassed that I had only a few Euros left and was relying on my Visa (and still 1 week to go on my trip) that I just merely shook hands. I should have swallowed my pride and asked if he wanted to exchange e-mails and keep in touch. Besides, I owe him a lunch. I hope our paths cross again in the near future.

My parents and my brother, Richard, and my half brother Jerry, also live in the Vancouver area. My parents met here in Vancouver in the late sixties, and have stayed here ever since. All my relatives are in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and I love travelling to see them.
