After a couple of month I finaly choose to buy a Dnepr sidecar. I went to Wuppertal in Germany to meet Bernd the seller. The side was in a quite good shape. We agreed and disassembled the russian beast to put it in the van. Bernd gave me quite a second engine and gearbox in parts. I was having a cold and was not at the top but happy to achieve that dream. Gott sei dank, my son Sacha was with me to do 1200 km in the day.

One week later I started to struggle with the french homologation administration to obtain new plates. Because this will last a while I asked Bernd to send me his german registration plate by post. As soon I received this plate I was so on an hurry that I assembled the side on a march rainy sunday morning.
Despite of the bad weather, the whole family was ready for the first out run on the russian high tech sidecar and my youngest son Honda MTX. Before the first out run I took a lot of pics to give you all details.

My older son Boris is feeling good on our new toys.

Wuppertal plates made me able to ride when waiting the french one. I just pray not to be controlled by the police. In this case I will have to persuade them that it's not my fault but the administration one ;)

Focus on the Kiev peace of high tech. Now we are on a small village place. The owner looks happy  and quite russian isn't ?

Françoise my wife is enjoying as much as I do. That was the best surprise for me !

Well... the tyre pressure was really too low. We got a flat tyre at 50 km from home : tyre had turn in the wheel (too much powerfull this Dnepr ! ) and the tube had been cut at the valve level. I was so on a hurry to ride the first time my Dnepr that I did not took any tools with us. We asked to the first house we saw and the guy was affraid he told us he had no tools at all. The second door was opened by a very friendly guy. He opened his garage and we changed the wheel ! Do you now what ? It was quite flat too ! The guy told us that it was a service place at 200 meter. We thanked him very much and leaved him. I put the 1rst gear in and walked beside the bike. Suddenly I saw the guy just behind us with his car making us a protection with warning blinkers :).  We inflated all wheels and took the road again.

My two sons making short runs on a parking place. Boris 25 with blue helmet and Sacha 20. Boris is planning to buy a Suzuki 650 SV S and Sacha is riding a Honda 125 MTX that was used for this family out run. With 15 japanese HP and two people the MTX was quite faster than my Dnepr ! Verdammt !

I just discovered there that my left shoe was pretty oily ... I checked and discovered an oil leak coming from the left top engine ... I knew that a Dnepr will surely give me some mechanical pleasures ...

Anyway I am a very happy man with my russian babe !
