| ......... and moving on.... Hubbards Fruitful Porridge (one of my favourite clients) Mother and Baby' Lux Flakes (modelled by a very dear friend) 'Hobo' life drawing executed in oils. There was something about the composure of this dishevelled young man... a fascinating subject to paint. |
| The pastel sketch above was rapidly executed at dusk while waiting for the ferry at Circular Quay, Sydney. Pastel sketch on left was my first experiment with Schminke Pastels. This Australian gum tree caught my eye with it's peculiar bunion like growths protruding from soaring twisted branches. I was particularly struck by it's silvery pinkish hue splashed with red. |
