It's a long list, and it's not even complete. This is what I keep on the blue shelf. There is a whole 'nother shelf of full CDs I have not yet catalogued, mostly compilations, singles in plastic cases, and the CDs of local bands, from a variety of locales. That's the green shelf, and I'll get to typing it up eventually. The blue shelf is more important, partly because it represents an advancement in my furniture degsign skillz, but also because those are the CDs most often in use. There is also a stack of CD singles in paper cases, almost eight inches tall (?!) waiting to be typed up. And a growing row of vinyl on the office closet floor. And boxes of tapes (hahaha). I may or may not type up complete track listings, someday, I don't know yet. A little research should give you more information, and the artists' website is provided whenever possible. Either way, you can request to hear something I will try to work it in somewhere. If you feel there is something missing from my collection, something you feel passionately about, want to hear, want others to hear, and want me to listen to: send it to me. Write an eMail and I will tell you where to mail it.
    I will listen to anything, seriously.

This page will be under perpetual construction.
It should be understood, but somehow I feel compelled to remove any possible doubt: this is not the end of the list. There will be massive additions until the collection is typed in full; when (not if!) that happens, there will be occasional additions as the collection continues to expand.

If I'd known then what I know now, I would have started typing this list in 1992, on my first computer. It would have saved a lot of time, and I would have learned how to type faster, sooner, just out of sheer frustration with picking out words, letter by letter... Come to think of it, I didn't have a CD player until some time after that. CDs were so expensive! Tapes were $5, CDs $15. I like cheap. I did wise up to the fact that tapes stretch and warp, and though CDs can get scratched, they do generally last longer. Cheap vs. quality - it was a tough debate. I got a CD player, which I still have, and use daily. CD players also last a long time. Then, I discovered the dollar bin. CDs, a dollar each! This is my view: I can get one CD for $15, or fifteen CDs for the same price. Anyway, I'm not sure if I will get to the tapes, ever. I still listen to them, and if I find something promising in a thrift store, I'll waste up to fifty cents on the gamble ("Party at Earth Lab" produced by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency? aww, yeah.. Or, a band called House of Freaks? definitely). I also love mix tapes. I make mix tapes. I have more mix tapes than I know what to do with... other than listen to with headphones on my portable tape player (yes, still too cheap to purchase a portable CD player), or send to friends (and laugh to find they no longer own a tape player). rambling on, and on...
