Houston Valley

This is a size able riding are with many miles interconnecting of trails. Most of the trails are short but once you learn your way around you can connect them to a longer trail. Like most of the other riding areas in Georgia this riding are is very well taken care of. The trails here provide many fun challenges. My favorite part about this area was the motorcycle only trails. One is much longer and more difficult than the but they are both fun. If you ride one these two trails while the leaves are not on the trees you will get great view of the surrounding country side as they both follow the ridge lines on the mountains in the area. This area is in north west Georgia near Chattanooga, but is still a short enough distance from Atlanta that it is an easy day trip. Camping is also allowed at this area in designated areas.

From I-75, take Ringgold/LaFayette exit (Exit 348) south on GA 151 for 7 miles. Turn left at Nickajack Gap Road and go across Taylor's Ridge. Turn right onto Capehart Road and travel 1 mile until pavement ends. Parking area is on left at the beginning of Forest Service gravel road.
