Tech stocks still look overvalued (4/4/2000)
Despite today's wild session on the Nasdaq with the index down a staggering 13% at the low of the session, tech stocks still look overvalued to me. The rally late in the day was what I would call a sucker's rally- investor buying on the dip, without looking at the valuations of the stocks. In Europe many Internet IPO's have already failed. Good Examples are Lastminute.com in the UK, Lycos Europe in Germany and World Online in the Netherlands. World Online today stood at e17.50, down almost 60% from its E43 offering price just three weeks ago.
