Christmas comes but once a year I'm pleased about that 'cause it's far too dear
I get cards from people I don't even like The postman delivers them, he comes on his bike I'm obliged to reciprocate. Oh it's something of a pain And the very next year it all happens again
Oh will this madness never end The businessmen just want us to spend, spend, spend
I for one, am seeing it with a bit more clarity I'm asking my loved ones to donate to charity
A pound or two given in my name Will mean more to me than presents that are inane
I hope to get my message across in these verses And hope that people will donate to the McMillan Nurses
