The old battered shop as I passed by Had things in the window that caught my eye
Patterns and colours so bright and clear But could I afford them, were they too dear?
I was about to turn and take my leave When I felt someone grab and pull at my sleeve It was Sailor Bill and he said with a grin 'We're having a sale, wont you come in?'
Whilst I still did hesitate Bill said 'Now just you wait.' 'For the likes of you it's free today Someone like you doesn't have to pay'
To an offer like this, my joy I couldn't hide I pointed at the door and said 'Let's go inside' I entered the shop with some trepidation My body was covered in perspiration
It was something I'd wanted for such a long time But now I was getting one it seemed like a crime
Inside the shop were some leather-clad men I just shoved my way through not caring about them But one of them turned and looked my way He said 'Hello Granny, why are you here today?'
It was my grandson Tom, so tall and so lean Always turning up where he's not wanted, if you know what I mean.
'Im getting a tattoo, Bill said they are free' Bill shouted over 'You can have two, or even three'
'How is it she doesn't have to pay?' Tom asked Bill in a surly way Bill replied With a joy he couldn't hide 'Just look at her skin, its so old and so crinkley, I've always wanted to tattoo a wrinkly.'
I grabbed his throat and showed him the back of my hand 'Any more from you and you won't be able to stand'
I selected a... Dragon and sat in the chair All the bikers silently, stood and stared
The pain it was fierce Just like a blunt blade But although it hurt dreadfully Not a sound was made
When it was done the bikers all cheered I had a helmet stuck on by a man with a beard
'You're one of us now.' He said with a grin And playfully gave me a tap on the chin
'Hooray for Granny!' They shouted as one But none looked so proud As my grandson Tom
