Notes From the Road

"if this is now, we must be here, November 14 1995"

Hello out there. I just thought I'd drop a brief update to the cyber-world. Things are great here in Dog's Eye View headquarters in NYC. The rest of the band has had a week off while I've been doing some promotional dates in Seattle, San Francisco, Boston, DC, NY and Philadelphia. It's going really well and it seems that there is some great enthusiasm about the record out there which makes me happy.

We're shooting our first ever music video this week and I'm really excited about it. The director, Mark Neale, and I have been trading ideas back and forth and I think there are some great ones. I'm trying to find my old "cat in the hat" hat (for those of you who might remember it) so that I can have it on for a shot in the video.

The absolute musical highlight of my year came about last week when I had a night off (night off, what's that???) in Seattle. I went to see Ani DiFranco play at the Moore theater, and she was absolutely unbelievable. I've been a huge fan of her records for years, but have missed her every time I've tried to see her. It was well worth the wait--she's amazing live and I was really inspired. If you don't know who she is, go buy a record of hers. My favorites are "puddle dive" and "out of range", but the new one is cool too.

I've also been listening to a record by a band called "sparklehorse" who have a great record out, and I'm still hooked on the latest radiohead record--it's amazing.

Well, I'm off to sleep. Thanks for all the lettters and e-mail, I'll write soon. Peter
