I love producing imagery. I draw, design and paint, mostly starting with pencil sketches and producing the final work on computer.

I studied 3d Computer Animation in Swansea, graduating in 2003, since then I have returned to Leeds and have been producing artwork and animations, while planning to start a business.

I have produced some visual effects and also got involved in a local video club, where I have run workshops and talks on animation and have written and directed some videos.

I am a trustee at a local nature reserve, I designed and maintain their website, and have produced illustrations for them.

I love cartoons, and believe that the best animation uses simple shapes and puts the emphasis on movement, as this works with visual perception, where motion is interpreted first. I find that something that moves well seems alive, while detailed shapes and colours only work well in a still image.
