Why collecting 2000?

Since the fifties of the 20th century that "year 2000" was ahead of us. How old will you be in 2000? What will the world look like in 2000? What inventions will be made till 2000?

And then, 2000 came and went. Nothing really magnificant happened. We were as old as we had figured out long years ago. The world looked like it had looked five years ago.

What to do to preserve that special feeling about 2000? Well, this called for coins! Coins are kept for a long time, coins have printed the number of the year on them, coins are made all over the world.

So I started to collect coins from the year 2000. To see that this year really had existed.
