Joe Strummer
If you are not familiar with Joe Strummer, and you are checking out our site, you should.  He is probably the most important figure in the late '70s early '80s punk scence that influenced a lot of today's bands.  He is one of my main influences as well.  He was the front man to the pioneer british punk band- The Clash.  The Clash are one of my favorite bands and if you just listen to his voice on old Clash records, you would know why I love him so much.  He's not a great singer in a choir boy since, but he sure knew how to make a raspy voice sound good.  I really respect him for his political standings and efforts while in The Clash and after the band broke up and for his wonderful music.  I don't think that I've ever been sad when a musician has died, apart from when Harrison died, but I sure feel empty that I will never hear any of Joe's music with his current band the Mescaleros again.

WE WILL MISS YOU JOE!  Rest In Peace.
