The history of Peter's Anatomy
By Justin Stadlbauer

This is the recent history of the band,
Peter's Anatomy.  The full history dates back a few years, and I wasn't around for any of that.  What I know about the band is from the time I joined to now.  So here is the recent history of Peter's Anatomy

I (Justin) had been playing guitar for a punk band, Lesser Cause, for awhile.  Things had been pretty fun, but soon things became really stupid.  This guy I knew, Eric Hansen, was trying to get me to join his band and quit Lesser Cause.  His band was
Peter's Anatomy.  I heard some things about theses guys, some good, some not so good.  I decided that it wouldn't hurt to check it out.  So I headed over to Erics house to practice.  To my suprise, Lesser Cause's new lead singer, Anthony Lock-Smtih was there, playing bass.  I thought this was funny, so I joked with Anthony about making a pact to quit Lesser Cause.  I was only joking because I started Lesser Cause and the guys in there were my best friends.  After practice, I thought, "these guys are really good!"  I started considering quitting Lesser Cause.  I decided to be in two bands for the time being.  Things in Lesser Cause got kinda weird, so I quit and was in Peter's Anatomy, full time.

We practiced quite
a lot.  We practiced 3-4 times a week which was unheard of in my previous band.  We mainly practiced Eric's punk songs but started to write some new ones.  The new ones leaned more to the rock sound than the punk.  The punk songs just didn't fit with our new sound, so we scraped them.  (We still use the punk stuff for shows.)

Our goal as a band was to record a demo professionally to get our name out to the masses.  We practiced a lot some more and chilled some more.  After about a month of being together, we headed to Vintage Studios in Boise to record some of our really cool songs.  Studio time was long but worth it.  Jeff Beers was the guy who helped us with the recording and mixing process.  After the three song CD was done, we mass produced burned CDs and sold and gave some away to people at our school.  The main feedback was that people really liked it.  Especially the first song, Crista.

After practicing some more, we played our first and so far only gig at a Borah high school activity.  It sucked, but I had fun.  Mike was freaking out that no one was paying attention to us.  I told him, "what do you expect!  The whole school to bow down to us!?!?"  It wasn't a good show to trash the drum set, so we didn't.  Mike thinks that this will never happen, but it will, just wait.  Maybe I should've smashed my guitar!!!
